Our client is seeking a hands‑on Civil/Water Resources Engineer to support municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves producing detailed design drawings, contributing to project delivery, and gradually taking on project management responsibilities. It is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both technical design work and field/client interaction, and who is looking for long‑term professional growth within a stable, expanding organization.

Travel: Local (within ~100 miles) for site visits
Responsibilities:- Apply engineering principles to real‑world municipal projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on active construction projects.
- Progress toward independent project management as skills develop.
- Produce construction‑ready design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D at your own workstation.
- Support project managers with:
Client Meetings, Field/Site Visits, Troubleshooting Design or Construction Issues, Conceptual Planning and Preliminary Engineering. - Design municipal water/wastewater systems, including:
Pump Stations, Treatment Plants, Water Distribution & Wastewater Collection Systems, Utilities, Drainage, and Site Development.
- Valid driver's license for local travel.
- Active EIT certification (PE preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for civil design production.
- Ability to work onsite and independently produce design drawings.
- 5-7 years of hands‑on design experience with municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
Skills:
- Active PE license (any state; Texas preferred)
- Experience transitioning from design into project management.
- Field or construction exposure (inspections, site work, troubleshooting)
- Exposure to both design and project delivery.
- Stable, established employer with a strong project backlog.
