Description:
This full-time role in Longview, TX, involves overseeing the design and development of new products and processes, particularly in the assembly and manufacturing of wheel-end components. The manager will lead a team to ensure successful project execution and collaborate with various stakeholders. A strong background in engineering and project management is essential.
- Lead the development process for wheel-end product lines, ensuring continuous improvement from concept to commercialization.
- Establish and track program goals, ensuring effective planning and scheduling of resources.
- Report on program progress, communicating risks, opportunities, and project status against milestones.
- Collaborate with commercial teams, customers, and industry organizations to gather input for new product/process pipelines.
- Manage and develop team talent using development plans and evaluation tools.
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical credentials. Minimum of 5 years in a technical supervisory role, with experience in creating department vision and hiring talent. 5 years of project management experience in new product/process development. Experience in supplier evaluation and following quality standards for product/process releases. Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
