Job Scope

Responsible for the management and development of a comprehensive Veterans Resource Center that provides a wide array of veteran‑centered services and supports to veterans and their families as they build a civilian life in the community. This occurs throughout the service area to include a nine‑county catchment area and other counties as identified in the grants. Key performance tasks include:

• Developing strategic planning and operationalizing through utilization of outcome‑based metrics linked to payer performance standards;
• Managing budgets from multiple payor sources with varied fiscal requirements and fiscal years;
• Developing procedural manuals based on center policy and procedures, payer performance standards and veteran stakeholder recommendations;
• Providing direct supervision of staff across the service area;
• Facilitating the creation of a trauma‑informed service environment;
• Making changes in procedures necessary to meet critical program outcomes;
• Other tasks that may arise to meet payer requirements;
• Providing or coordinating case services for eligible service recipients.

Shall develop a comprehensive knowledge base on military culture and veterans issues, liaise with a wide range of veteran and community stakeholders, work independently utilizing good judgment with wide latitude of discretion in program operations, maintain awareness of future grant opportunities and coordinate with supervisor for the application of said grants, coordinate with staff and supervisors regarding audit requests and oversight corrective action plans.

Current valid driver’s license in state of residence. Minimum educational requirement: high school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preference given to a veteran or family member with a first‑degree relationship; preference given to applicants with experience or knowledge of the Veterans Administration system and/or other resources provided to the veteran community.

Position has requirements to perform lifesaving activities such as CPR and SAMA techniques.
