Position Overview for the Paramedic | ER TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Emergency Department team. This is not a traditional EMT role. This position requires strong ER-based clinical experience, independent critical thinking, and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity freestanding ER setting. We are currently seeking candidates to work night-shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Candidates without recent Emergency Room experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities for the Paramedic | ER Technician- Initiate IV access, perform phlebotomy, and complete EKGs
- Execute physician orders accurately and efficiently
- Monitor patient condition and respond to emergent situations
- Support patient throughput while maintaining quality of care
- Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, and the care team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
- Deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven patient experience
- Active EMT-P (Paramedic) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience required
- Strong clinical skills including IV starts, EKGs, and patient monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Experience in a freestanding ER (FSER) or high-volume emergency department
- Familiarity with EMR systems and emergency workflows
- Strong patient service mindset and ability to de-escalate stressful situations
