Role Description The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide individual and, as appropriate, group counseling to clients in an on-site setting in Longview, TX. This full-time role includes conducting mental health assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with other providers when necessary. The counselor will utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, monitor client progress, and adjust interventions to meet client needs.

Additional responsibilities may include participating in case consultations, engaging in ongoing professional development, and contributing to a positive, ethical, and inclusive practice culture.

Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of Texas, or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual counseling and conducting mental health assessments in outpatient or similar settings.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (such as CBT, DBT, person-centered, or trauma-informed approaches) and ability to tailor interventions to diverse client needs.
  • Strong skills in clinical documentation, case management, and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients from varied backgrounds.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth, including participation in supervision, training, and continuing education relevant to mental health counseling.
  • Ability to manage a consistent full-time caseload, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
