  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
  • Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift Duration: 10 hours
  • Openings: 2 positions available
  • Setting: Hospital Pharmacy
Job Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree required
  • Active Texas pharmacist license required
  • Hospital experience preferred
  • BLS or ACLS certification required (AHA only)
  • PALS required for pediatric practice (AHA only)
  • Epic experience highly preferred
  • Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing preferred
  • Neonatal medication knowledge and emergency medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently in a hospital pharmacy environment
  • Interpret verbal and written medication orders and document them in the patient record
  • Compound sterile and non-sterile medications, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products
  • Monitor patient drug therapy for appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and allergies
  • Support pharmacokinetic consults and renal dose adjustments per protocol
  • Provide clear drug information and clinical consultation to providers and care teams
  • Educate patients and families on medications when appropriate
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel as needed
  • Support quality improvement, medication use review, and stewardship initiatives
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and clinical interventions when assigned
