Maintenance Manager
Job Summary
Oversee all installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment, facilities and custodial staff. Plan, direct, and coordinate maintenance processes and activities. Confer with leadership, engineering, and others regarding maintenance work. Ensure co‑workers have resources available to complete duties according to allotted budget.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish priorities and set expectations for the maintenance staff, custodial staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Manage budget, monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee facility systems and associated equipment, including preventative/predictive maintenance programs, operating and testing systems and equipment.
- Perform inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, OEMs, and service providers.
- Monitor equipment/spare parts inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Coaches, mentors, trains, and develops maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements.
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Champion and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and at least 8 years of maintenance experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and related facilities.
- Knowledge of facility machines and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, and sketches.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and machinery.
Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to stand, walk and use hands for the majority of the work shift. Will be exposed to loud noises, vibrations, extreme hot/cold temperatures, confined spaces, atmospheric conditions, and other physical hazards.
