Railserve is hiring dependable, safety‑focused Plant Manager in Longview, Texas, overseeing all aspects of a locomotive maintenance and repair facility, including safety, quality, operational performance, financial results, customer satisfaction, and employee development. This position provides leadership to maintenance personnel and support staff while ensuring locomotives are maintained, repaired, and inspected in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Facility Operations Management:
  Oversee daily operations of the maintenance and repair facility, ensuring optimal workflow, efficiency, and productivity. Ensure all repairs, maintenance tasks, and inspections are completed on time, meeting quality standards and safety regulations. Implement and monitor operational procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity in the facility. Collaborate with other departments to maintain alignment on operations, production targets, and resource allocation.
• Team Leadership and Development:
  Lead, motivate, and manage a team of technicians, engineers, and administrative staff. Oversee training programs, professional development, and certification requirements for staff. Provide coaching and performance evaluations, setting clear objectives and expectations. Ensure effective communication across teams to foster a positive work environment and collaboration.
• Safety and Compliance:
  Ensure the facility adheres to all safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements, including compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other industry standards. Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures, reducing workplace hazards and ensuring safety for all employees. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any identified risks promptly. Maintain accurate documentation and reports on safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Quality Control and Assurance:
  Monitor and evaluate work quality, ensuring all repairs and maintenance tasks meet customer requirements and are compliant with FRA, AAR, and other industry standards. Review inspection and maintenance records to identify and resolve quality issues. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of maintenance services. Address any quality issues in maintenance work to prevent equipment failure or delays in service.
• Budgeting and Financial Management:
  Prepare and manage the facility’s budget, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation. Monitor and manage expenses related to staffing, parts, equipment, and supplies. Forecast and report financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of parts and materials.
