• Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs tailored to the specific needs of Pneco's operations.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents, analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety, providing training and resources to enhance employee awareness and engagement.
• Design and execute emergency response plans, ensuring that all staff are trained and prepared for potential emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including incident reports, training sessions, and compliance documentation, to support regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely communication and compliance with all applicable laws.
• Monitor industry trends and changes in legislation, proactively adjusting company policies and procedures to remain compliant.
• Facilitate safety meetings and workshops, fostering open communication about safety concerns and encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
• Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of EHS programs, using data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure that all EHS standards are met during project execution.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management on EHS performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Proven experience in emergency management and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Certification in EHS management (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience with ISO 14001 or OHSAS 18001 certification processes.
• Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability initiatives.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within an EHS team.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials management and waste disposal regulations.
• Experience in conducting safety training and workshops.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.

• This position is based in Longview, Washington, and may require occasional travel to other company locations or sites.
