Job Overview

Armature - Motor Winder needed at our Longview Texas Manufacturing Facility. This job position is responsible for setup, layout, winding, connecting, testing, and troubleshooting AC and DC rotating equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Work safe and be an advocate for safety.
  • Able to follow instructions and repeat basic procedures of the armature motor winder position.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment, tooling, and work area.
  • Properly layout and connect phase groups of armatures as required during the process as specified by engineering instructions.
  • Configures and inserts slot insulation.
  • Make accurate connections using solder and brazing processes.
  • Able to test armatures windings at high voltage using Hypot, Surge, and Megger equipment.
  • Document all information needed for traceability.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 2 years of experience or equivalent knowledge of armature or motor/stator winding duties.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions. (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.)
  • Ability to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and other equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work independently, holding close tolerances, minimizing scrap all within standard routing hours.
  • Strong blue-print reading skills.
  • Knowledge of various hand tools and their uses.
  • Must successfully pass background check, pre-employment physical drug screening.
  • Must be able to work overtime, and weekends as required.
