Trinity Industries and its subsidiary aim to deliver indispensable goods essential to the economy. Trinity Tank Car, Inc. (a Division) is hiring a Senior Auto Welder in Longview, TX.

• Lay out, position, align and fit fabricated metal parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches in preparation for welding. Tack-weld pieces together.
• Apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics and sketches using manual and/or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Lay out and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
• Position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Observe all standard safety practices and maintain required records.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May participate in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Level 3 Fitter/Welder proficiency.
• Ability to fit and tack weld subassemblies or to jackets.
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances.
• Read blueprints.
• Provide certifications, training or relevant experience and list the last two employers in your application.
