Key Job Responsibilities


In your role as Mechanical Assembly II, you will be responsible for the following key duties to ensure the successful assembly and deployment of Komatsu's heavy equipment:
  • Championing workplace safety by rigorously following all safety procedures and proactively encouraging safe practices across your team to maintain a zero-incident workplace.
  • Preparing meticulously for each assembly task by analyzing detailed blueprints, schematics, and parts lists to assemble components efficiently and accurately.
  • Executing the assembly of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems with precision, utilizing specialized tools and techniques such as measurement verification and connection inspections to achieve excellent fit and operational reliability.
  • Engaging in routine assembly operations under supervision while actively acquiring new skills and contributing to shared learning within the team to strengthen overall craftsmanship.
  • Proactively maintaining the condition and reliability of assembly tools and equipment by performing scheduled preventive maintenance, promptly addressing minor malfunctions, and collaborating with maintenance teams to minimize production disruptions.
  • Organizing and sustaining a clean, orderly, and compliant workspace aligned with company policies and regulatory standards to optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Comprehensively documenting all stages of the production and quality assurance process, including accurate record keeping and reporting to support traceability, audits, and continuous enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements


To excel as a Mechanical Assembly II at Komatsu, applicants should meet or exceed the following qualifications and qualities:
  • Proficient in basic mathematics to accurately perform measurements, dimensional calculations, and other numerical tasks integral to assembly.
  • Skilled in reading tape measures and moderately proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical documentation, ensuring clarity in component assembly requirements.
  • Knowledgeable about hand tools including their safe and effective use for various assembly operations, demonstrating care and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adept at following complex, detailed instructions consistently while executing repetitive tasks with focus and precision, thriving under close supervision yet eager to learn and grow.
