Position: QTL- Coil Shop Crew 3

Job Summary

Train team members in assembling and installing sub‑assembly components for commercial HVAC products. Duties are performed on an assembly line, ensuring safe and timely completion in line with codes and quality standards. Serve as the primary contact for line issues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure unit standards for quality and productivity.
  • Verify proper assembly and installation of each unit and parts, such as EVAP coils, compressors, base posts, filter racks, blowers, condensers, control boards, motors, and brazing procedures.
  • Confirm proper charging of units and follow all charging procedures.
  • Train team members on accurate, thorough, and rapid assembly and installation to approved specifications.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date information on unit schedules and assembly/quality procedures.
  • Schedule production time to meet targets.
  • Print and verify correctness of work order packets.
  • Confirm availability of necessary parts, including sensors, valves, switches, motors, economizer assembly parts, controllers, relays, contractors, fuses, filters, doors, roof panels, etc.
  • Approve paperwork for sub‑assemblies and end‑of‑line checks.
  • Ensure all paperwork is signed off by all QTLs for end‑of‑line.
  • Stay updated on assembly procedures and equipment.
  • Enforce warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Inspect blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team.
  • Monitor work environments and use hand tools.
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments as required.
  • Provide production backup support as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • 18 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Assess work accuracy and quality, including color detection.
  • Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Physical Demands
  • Stand still for 95% of the time.
  • Move objects up to 25–50 pounds in all directions.
  • Navigate manufacturing facility.
  • Operate heavy equipment and tools.
  • Perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, and work in tight spaces.
Work Environment
  • Humidity, loud noises, dirt.
  • Differing and extreme temperatures (heat and cold).
  • Sheet metal and mechanical parts.
  • Forklift traffic.
