JOB PURPOSE:

To perform operational functions for production, inspection, and distribution of products or services for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to the Quality Policy and ISO policies.
• Comply with work rules and standards in the Employee Handbook.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas.
• Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace, providing a positive environment with co‑workers.
• Refer to work order or procedural instructions before commencing work.
• Perform quality assurance checks as designated.
• Ensure all work is performed according to specifications, instructions and requirements.
• Meet production standards on specific assignments within reasonable time.

SPECIFIC

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate Spinner machine.
• Change Spinner tooling.
• Complete Statistical Process Control Charts for product spun.
• Have working knowledge of control gauges used in Spinner inspection.
• Identify folded necks in cylinders and scrap accordingly.
• Operate material handling devices such as overhead hoists, cranes, industrial lift trucks.
• Establish dimensions for raw material and in‑process parts from drawings, instructions and quality standards.
• Cut raw material and parts using powered equipment.
• Operate and support the spinning process line.
• Operate, set up and support a 400‑ton horizontal press.
• Use available equipment to deburr, polish, trim and other tasks for quality parts.
• Assist in and set up pre‑spin heating ovens.
• Assist in and set up various bottom presses.
• Assist in training of various spinning units.
• Complete written reports.
• Know equipment set‑up procedures.

ADDITIONAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.

• Education or experience level that permits effectively communicating and performing duties.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret job documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Reasoning ability to make decisions when identifying in‑process problems.
• Efficient, flexible, and willing to perform a variety of jobs.
• Ability to use machinery/equipment required for tasks.
• Work effectively, courteously and respectfully with co‑workers and other personnel.
