We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join our fast‑paced manufacturing team. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in the plastics manufacturing industry and a proven track record in continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a hands‑on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the plant ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Develop processes that maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day‑to‑day operations to exceed customers’ expectations.
- Increase production, asset capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives and provide clear direction.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
- Build trusting relationships, recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
- Collect and analyze data to identify waste or overtime.
- Commit to plant safety procedures.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a plant management role within a manufacturing environment (specifically blown film).
- Proven managerial experience with ability to lead, manage, and develop a team.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement initiatives with cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
- In‑depth knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources).
- Familiarity with industry‑standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processes.
- Computer literacy and ability to use various software applications.
- Strong team building, decision‑making, and people management skills.
- Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
- Strong problem‑solving and creative skills and ability to exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
