Job Summary
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team to ensure that production processes run smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety measures are adhered to.
Responsibilities- Complete AAON’s Production Leader Program.
- Lead a team, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Motivate and mentor team members to maximize productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with management to ensure production targets are met.
- Allocate resources—labor, equipment, and materials—to support the production plan.
- Monitor and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
- Investigate and address production and quality related issues as they arise.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
- Conduct safety training and audits and provide recommendations for safety improvements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and improved efficiency.
- Implement changes and oversee process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Coordinate with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
- Generate regular reports on performance, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.
- Provide regular updates to management on production status and challenges.
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and production management software and systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification.
- Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language.
- Ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time during shift.
- Required to wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
- This position is designated as a safety‑sensitive job and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
