Position: Production Leader- Unit Production Crew 3

Job Summary

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of a team to ensure that production processes run smoothly, products meet quality standards, and safety measures are adhered to.

Responsibilities
  • Complete AAON’s Production Leader Program.
  • Lead a team, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure production targets are met.
  • Allocate resources—labor, equipment, and materials—to support the production plan.
  • Monitor and enforce quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards.
  • Investigate and address production and quality related issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed.
  • Conduct safety training and audits and provide recommendations for safety improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and improved efficiency.
  • Implement changes and oversee process improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate with inventory control teams to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Generate regular reports on performance, including productivity, quality, and efficiency metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to management on production status and challenges.
Education and Experience

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or an equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and production management software and systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain 608 universal refrigerant certification.
  • Ability to communicate in written and spoken English language.
Work Environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time during shift.
  • Required to wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.
  • This position is designated as a safety‑sensitive job and therefore subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
