We are hiring on behalf of a healthcare client seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an Emergency Department setting.
Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse practices independently within the scope of professional nursing standards and provides routine and complex patient care. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
The role requires the ability to manage dynamic clinical situations and delegate appropriately to support staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care in accordance with professional standards of practice.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
- Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and interventions.
- Provide patient and family education.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed care team members.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of employment or compact eligibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) required.
- Additional certifications may be required based on department assignment.
- Successful completion of orientation and competency validation.
- Compliance with state nursing regulations.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
