American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/IMC Med Surg position requiring 2 years of nursing experience and a TX or compact RN license.

• Work in the IMC Med Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes a mix of diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Full time, 13-week assignment

• Active RN license in TX or compact required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required
• BSN preferred

• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Candidates previously employed at any CHRISTUS facility (non-travel) must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
