Key responsibilities of the RN – ER/ED – Emergency Room/Emergency Department include:

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families

Requirements of the RN – ER/ED – Emergency Room/Emergency Department include:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required (AHA only)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact
