American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN license, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Details- Work in the Emergency Care unit (ECC) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
- 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, full-time
- Weekend requirement of 6 days per 6-week schedule period
- 13-week assignment length
- Active RN license in TX or compact state required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
- Current PALS certification required (AHA only)
- Current TNCC certification required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- 1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing preferred
- Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ED patients
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
- Complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation during onboarding
- New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member during onboarding
- Complete annual competency verification requirements
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
