American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN license, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Work in the Emergency Care unit (ECC) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, full-time
• Weekend requirement of 6 days per 6-week schedule period
• 13-week assignment length

• Active RN license in TX or compact state required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current PALS certification required (AHA only)
• Current TNCC certification required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing preferred

• Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ED patients
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
• Complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation during onboarding
• New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member during onboarding
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
