HC 2 - LONGVIEW, TX 75604## Overview Salary Range $13.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time Job Shift Any## Description The cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer and donor care while maintaining a safe and clean sales floor.
** Essential Duties
*** Promote friendly and helpful customer service and donor care.
* Operate the cash register and answers the telephone.
* Stock shelves and racks with processed merchandise.
* Always keep the store neat and clean.
* Colorize and organize stock on shelves as trained.
* Rotate stock according to the color rotation system.
* Assist donors as they arrive.
* Unload and sort materials in the donation area.
* Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
* Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
* Assist with the security and the safety of store property.
* Demonstrate professionalism and presents a friendly, cooperative attitude towards customers and co-workers.
* Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions and work in a team oriented, fast paced environment.
* Must be punctual and have dependable attendance.
* Must conduct work in a safe manner; maintain good housekeeping standards, have all aisles and pathways to fire extinguishers, and exits clear from clutter.
* Always follow all policies and procedures.
* All other duties as instructed by the Manager.## Qualifications
** Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
** With reasonable accommodation, must have the ability to:
* Ability to respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation.
* Ability to remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations.
* At least 6 months' customer service/cashier experience preferred.
* Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk.
* Frequently lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
* Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.
* Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
