Territory Sales Manager – Commercial Truck Equipment Position Overview
Dealer’s Truck Equipment is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Territory Sales Manager based out of Menphis, Tn to grow revenue and market share within a defined territory covering Mississippi, West & Central Tennessee, and North Alabama
. This role is responsible for developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and serving as a trusted advisor to dealerships, fleets, municipalities, and end users.
You will own your territory, build strong partnerships, and generate sales through consultative selling, product knowledge, and proactive customer engagement. This role requires a dynamic individual strong in numerous aspects including detail orientation, timely communication, critical thinking, and most importantly, character.
This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development- Grow sales by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships
- Actively manage and develop a territory that includes truck dealerships (light & medium duty), fleets, municipalities, leasing companies, and end users
- Conduct in-person sales calls, product demonstrations, and customer training
- Learn dealer stocking needs and strategically support them through bailment pool programs
- Promote and educate customers on new products, changes, and solutions
- Work with inside sales team to develop accurate, competitive quotes
- Write and review vehicle and equipment specifications based on customer needs
- Ensure all signed quotes are complete and detailed with customer, chassis, and equipment information
- Coordinate with branch locations to ensure chassis are built to customer specifications
- Utilize Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, and Ford bailment chassis inventory to close sales efficiently
- Maintain consistent and timely communication with customers via phone, email, text, and in-person visits
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
- Provide timely follow-up and excellent customer service throughout the sales process
- Expenses will be covered personally and submitted via Expensify
- Complete and submit sales call reports every Monday
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and training sessions as required

You are expected to efficiently plan and manage your travel and workload across the entire territory.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Proven ability to sell, influence, and build long-term customer relationships
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
