Concrete Crew Leader – East Texas Essential Functions
- Study blueprints and diagrams to determine dimensions of structure or form to be constructed.
- Manage all aspects of concrete crew from forming, pouring, and finishing for concrete structures.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Assist with the placing and finishing of concrete as needed.
- Follow all safety policies and PPE use.
- Preferred three (3) years’ experience in concrete work demonstrating the knowledge and abilities listed above.
- Bridge experience desirable.
- Read, interpret, and work from basic and routine sketches, blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Safely and efficiently operate and use associated tools and equipment.
- High school diploma desirable.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Communicate effectively with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to multi-task, good organizational skills, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Diligent in demonstrating safe work practices.
This is a full-time position. Days of work are normally Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; however, evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TravelTravel to the jobsites is expected for this position.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee up to and over 2/3 of time employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Some equipment can be extremely heavy and will require a lot of strength to move or manipulate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to quickly respond appropriately to unexpected events.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, rough and uneven surfaces, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
