Job Overview

At Walmart, we are looking for a Technician in Facility Services, Irrigation Exterior Services to maintain irrigation systems in Longview, Texas. The role involves hands‑on installation, repair, and troubleshooting of irrigation components, operating specialized equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring safety compliance.

Job Duties:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components such as wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, main and lateral lines, drip lines, and bubblers.
• Operate pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation equipment and vehicles.
• Order irrigation supplies, spare parts, and equipment, obtaining quotes from contractors as needed.
• Recommend upgrades and replacements for systems and equipment.
• Respond to work order requests and communicate via phones, tablets, and laptops to complete orders and maintain logs.
• Adhere to safety policies, report violations and maintain safety of work environment.
• Perform seasonal maintenance, including winterizing irrigation systems and spring startup.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in landscaping/irrigation, plumbing, or electrical troubleshooting.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid, state‑issued driver’s license.
• Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight and weekends.

While a formal degree is not required, relevant training or certifications in irrigation systems or related fields are desirable. Certifications in irrigation system operation, equipment operation, safety, or state licensing are considered a plus.

• Pay range: $19.00–$35.00 per hour with potential hourly premiums of $0.35–$3.00.
