Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanics role based in the Midland-Odessa Area. The mechanic will perform routine and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment, including inspections, lubrication, fluid changes, and component replacements. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshooting engine, transmission, brake, and hydraulic systems, and completing repairs in a timely and safe manner. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, following company and regulatory safety standards, and communicating clearly with supervisors and customers about equipment status and repair needs.

Team members may also assist with ordering parts, maintaining shop tools and equipment, and supporting other technicians as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong maintenance skills, including general Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance for fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with Maintenance & Repair of Heavy Equipment, including engines, drive trains, brakes, and hydraulics.
  • Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues using appropriate tools and software.
  • Knowledge of safety practices, shop procedures, and relevant regulations for commercial vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and work orders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
  • Prior experience as a fleet, diesel, or heavy equipment mechanic is strongly beneficial.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Midland-Odessa Area, lift moderate to heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable communication, teamwork, and time management skills; valid driver’s license required.
