Crane Operator

CRANE OPERATOR (Temporary)

Joyce Steel Erection, Ltd. – temporary position.

• Operating crane under complete control
• Operating crane under supervision
• Inspecting the crane and all of its components and below the hook lifting devices routinely and periodically to ensure its safety and the safety of all involved
• Performing routine maintenance
• Carrying tools for performing repairs as needed
• Understanding and executing the job billing process
• Wearing required personal protective equipment while performing work
• Cleaning and maintaining the crane and all components
• Utilizing manufacturers recommendations during assembly/disassembly while erecting crane, and while operating the crane in all configurations
• Directing truck drivers and crane helpers during the process of assembly/disassembly, crane set up, and scope of work
• Mentoring other crane operators, crane helpers, etc.

• MUST POSSESS A N.C.C.C.O. CRANE OPERATOR CERTIFICATION CARD FOR SIZE AND TYPE OF CRANE OPERATING
• MUST POSSESS CRANE OPERATOR QUALIFICATION EVALUATIONS ON ALL TYPES OF SIZE AND TYPE OF CRANES OPERATING
• MUST HAVE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE OF OSHA REGULATIONS AND ANSI STANDARDS ASSOCIATED WITH CRANE AND RIGGING SERVICES
• MUST BE PROFICIENT IN ORAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• MUST BE ABLE TO TAKE DIRECTION(S) FROM SUPERVISION
• MUST PERFORM DAILY AND MONTHLY EQUIPMENT INSPECTIONS
• MUST FOLLOW ALL SAFETY AND COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AS WELL AS THAT OF CUSTOMERS
