Considered an expert on all Sullair rotary/oil free products and accessories (except for centrifugal technology) and on competitive rotary/oil free products, vacuum, scroll and other technologies. Must have the ability, skills and temperament to train other technicians on Sullair rotary products and accessories. Provides maintenance and technical support for Sullair products at customer field locations, installs new products or enhances existing ones, and may provide training and best practices for on‑site customer personnel.

Identifies and troubleshoots all possible malfunctions and conducts or schedules repairs. Prepares detailed service reports to document service visits, issues and troubleshooting actions. Logs and tracks maintenance activities. Works with various departments at Hitachi Global Air Power to address concerns from the field and drive issues to a timely closure. Supports the Sullair Training Department for customers, distributors and employees.

This position reports directly to the Field Service Manager.

• Performs any needed service on all compressed air products, regardless of brand, except for centrifugal technology
• Trains other technicians on all rotary products and accessories
• Travels to field job sites for troubleshooting and service of Sullair and competitive rotary products
• Follows standard work for pre and post service preparation (submit expense reports, prepare service reports, make travel arrangements, complete timecards)
• On call as scheduled for after‑hours customer support
• Follows all Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Communicates distributor feedback to Sullair management as Voice of Customer
• Drives field concerns to closure in a timely manner
• Supports service goal of 95% within the Service Department
• Contributes to positive company branding by projecting a knowledgeable, professional, and customer‑oriented image to customers
• Performs all duties in accordance with company standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer
• Dedicated to completion of responsibilities
• Must be fluent in English and possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, without major traffic violations within the past five years
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work in industrial environments with extremes in temperature, continuous walking, reaching, bending and kneeling
• Will use company‑provided equipment and will be required to travel to attend company‑provided training
• Must have own tools to perform job duties
• Operates a company vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and HGAP policies

• High School Diploma or equivalent (related industry experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements)
• Associate degree a plus
• Technical Trade School a plus

• Sullair – “Certified Senior Technician”
• Refrigeration / EPA certified
• Compressed air challenge – Level 1
