For over 40 years the Women's Center of East Texas has served survivors of domestic abuse, their witnessing children, and victims of sexual assault. We are looking for a compassionate, service-oriented Transportation Associate at our Shelter who have a desire to assist these clients. Would you like to join us?

What you would be doing in this role:
  • Providing clients with quality client-centered, trauma informed care.
  • Scheduling and providing transportation for clients.
  • Maintaining supplies such as groceries and office supplies.
  • Maintain shelter upkeep including room preparation and sanitation.
  • Support client database activity through reviewing daily entries and training new hires.

Qualifications

The qualifications you need for this role:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelors Degree in related field or combination of social services experience and education.
  • High proficiency in computer skills, including learning a unique client database system.
  • Clean driving record
  • Basic knowledge of Family Violence preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in residential/shelter environment preferred.
  • Regular shifts are weekdays but must be available to work various shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Active Listening.
  • Empathy and Compassion.
  • Self-motivated, self-confident, and compassionate.
  • High moral and ethical standards.
  • Ability to complete required training assignments and understand the dynamics of Family Violence and other related issues.
  • Physical requirements as mentioned in the job description.
