Job Description
Supports the day to day operations of the Branch providing order and delivery services. Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including unloading and checking incoming shipments while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. Receive inventory coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other locations accurately and promptly.
This is a safety‑sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre‑employment drug test. The test screens for drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone and phencyclidines, following the cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
This position is subject to a background check for any convictions directly related to its duties and responsibilities. Only job‑related convictions will be considered and will not automatically disqualify the candidate.
- High school diploma or GED with warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
- Must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
- Basic math skills and reasoning skills.
- Certification of power‑truck equipment.
- Operate inventory control equipment, i.e., bar‑coding equipment, handheld devices.
- Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Able to withstand extreme temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
- Position spends a large amount of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing.
- Position may require climbing of ladders for top‑level selection.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
