Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grant Accountant for a mission-driven organization supporting diverse community programs. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire position based in Longview, WA.
POSITION OVERVIEWThe Grant Accountant plays a key role in managing the financial aspects of grant‑funded programs and supporting program managers with budgeting, compliance, and reporting. This role ensures accurate tracking of grant revenues and expenditures, prepares detailed financial reports, and assists with audits and reconciliations. The position requires collaboration across teams, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to supporting the organization’s mission and values.

- Support program managers with budgeting, variance analysis, and compliance monitoring
- Manage grant documentation, including tracking expiration dates and ensuring timely spending
- Process draw requests, accounts receivable entries, and interfund reimbursements
- Assist with audits, reconciliations, and preparation of audit schedules
- Recommend and support improvements to accounting processes and financial reporting systems
- Experience in grant or general accounting, including financial reporting and reconciliations
- Ability to work across multiple programs or organizational units
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
This role offers a competitive pay rate of $42 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days of employment.
