This is an adjunct faculty position (Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters) beginning in the Fall of 2026. The instructor is responsible for producing and directing quarterly plays, teaching associated Rehearsal and Performance drama course(s), helping to maintain the drama program, and collaborating with the Rose Center for the Arts staff. This position reports to the Dean of Instruction & Learning Resources.

The rate for this position is $887.48 per lecture credit hour

* Production & Direction:

Produce and direct quarterly plays and administer the drama performance program.

* Research and select a new play and build a quarterly rehearsal schedule.

* Schedule and conduct auditions.

* Attend planning and production meetings.

* Collaborate with the production team.

* Direct a production each quarter. Productions can vary in scale, theme, genre, cast size, and other aspects.

* Collaborate with RCA staff to market and promote auditions and performances.

* Instruction:
Teach theatre course(s) associated with quarterly Rehearsals and Performances to a diverse student population using various instructional technologies for face-to-face and online delivery.

* Student Support:
Provide individualized support to promote student success and foster a positive learning environment.

* Administrative:
Maintain course syllabi, evaluate student learning and achievement of course outcomes, maintain student records, and submit grades in a timely manner.

* Engagement:
Recruit students into the theatre program and conduct community outreach. This includes building relationships with local K-12 partners.

* Professionalism:
Effectively interact with supervisors, colleagues, students, and community members.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Drama, Theatre, or Fine Arts in Directing AND 3 years of experience in professional theatre theatre administration OR Bachelor's degree in Drama or Theatre or Fine Arts in Directing AND 5 years of experience in professional theatre theatre administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Two to three years of college-level teaching experience.

* Experience in technical theatre or stage management.
