TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Contract Term: 210 days Salary: salary based on qualifications and experience; current compensation $150,937 - $164,467 based on 2026-27 Administrator Salary Schedule. Benefits:

SUPERVISOR:
Superintendent or Designee
- Valid Washington State certificate to practice as a principal.
- Master's degree with concentration in educational administration.
- At least five years of successful experience in public school administration preferred.
- Successful elementary school experience preferred.
- At least five years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Possess a steadfast commitment to improving student academic success and social well-being.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting multiple data sources to inform school-level improvement.
- Creates and sustains a school culture that values and responds to the characteristics and needs of each learner.
- Knowledge and experience utilizing the Professional Learning Community planning and data cycle to ensure actionable outcomes designed to meet the needs of all students.
- Experience utilizing an instructional framework to monitor, support, and evaluate effective instruction and assessment practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work staff, families, community, and the District Leadership Team.
- Exemplify unquestioned integrity, honesty, diplomacy, and confidentiality and is a positive role model for staff and students.
- Facilitate the creation and implementation of a School Improvement Plan (SIP) utilizing data and best practices in instruction and assessment in alignment to the District Strategic Plan Goals.
- Oversee the implementation of core curriculum, instruction, and assessment programs that ensure compliance with Board priorities, District educational goals, and State standards.
- Provide leadership to ensure school safety for students and staff both physical and for social emotional and intellectual safety.
- Provide leadership and professional development to staff teams to analyze data and take actionable outcomes for student academic growth.
- Model and support best practices of instructional strategies through professional development and the teacher evaluation process.
- Provide the leadership necessary to create, implement and support effective systems of academic and behavior intervention (MISS & PBIS).
- Lead the successful implementation of categorical programs including the adherence to State and Federal policy around special education.
- Actively engage families and community members to be partners in students' academic success and school improvement efforts.
- Oversee the general management of day-to-day operational functions of the middle school.
- Provide leadership in maintaining discipline and attendance.
- Supervise the reporting and monitoring of student attendance.
- Be active in both school and district curriculum committees.
- Ensure the implementation of District-wide goals, priorities, policies, and procedures by coordinating assigned activities with other departments.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Cultivate and model a respectful and joyful working and learning environment.
- Create, maintain and foster a school climate and culture focused upon building positive relationships with staff, students and families.
- Support and build a team of educators focused upon providing exemplary educational services to the students we serve.
- Supervise and evaluate the building certificated staff.
- Supervise and evaluate the building classified staff.
- Supervise and manage departments and programs within the school.
- Ensure effective two-way communication between the building administrative team and staff.
