CERTIFICATED SUBSTITUTE | TEACHER

Pay: $31.7143 per hour ($222.00 per day)

Qualifications:

1. Valid Washington State teaching certificate.

2. Background check on file  you have not completed a fingerprinting background check within the past

two years, you must be reprinted.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Teach the lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher to achieve district student learning objectives

and course expectations.

2. Provide assistance and guidance to individual students.

3. Maintain appropriate student records, including daily grades and attendance reports.

4. Enforce school rules and monitor student behavior in non-classroom settings.

5. Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other staff and administrators.

6. Fulfill other job related responsibilities as assigned.

7. Work with students, staff, parents, and other community patrons in an amiable and productive manner.

Terms of Employment:

1. On call as needed.

2. Salary begins at $195 per day and can increase depending upon the number of days worked in the current school

year.

3. Paid in-service is available. The total hours of in-service earned are dependent upon the number of days worked

in the current school year.

Disclosure Statement and Background Check:

Pursuant to RCW 43.43.830 through RCW 43.43.840, new employees will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating any convictions of crimes against persons as listed in the law. In addition, a background check based on fingerprints will be requested from the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
