Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract role is based onsite, serving a diverse classroom of students with a range of abilities and needs. Work in a supportive, collaborative environment, and help each child achieve their greatest potential from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
Qualifications& Experience Desired
- Valid Washington State certification in Special Education required
- Experience teaching elementary-aged children with various disabilities preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
- Capacity for flexibility, empathy, and creativity in instructional approach
- Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support student learning and growth
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, instructional aides, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in compliance with district and state guidelines
Communicate regularly with families to share student achievements and address concerns - Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
- Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule, allowing for a balanced workweek
