Special Education Teacher - Longview, WA

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

• Valid Washington State certification in Special Education required
• Experience teaching elementary-aged children with various disabilities preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Capacity for flexibility, empathy, and creativity in instructional approach
• Committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
• Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to support student learning and growth
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, instructional aides, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in compliance with district and state guidelines
  
  Communicate regularly with families to share student achievements and address concerns
• Participate in professional development and school meetings as required
