• Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher certification (required)
• Prior experience working with middle school-aged children, preferably in a special education setting
• Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and adaptability in teaching methods
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a range of disabilities
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that encourages each student’s growth and confidence
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to coordinate instruction
• Collect data, track student progress, and adjust approaches as necessary
• Participate in team meetings, annual reviews, and student conferences
• Employ evidence-based strategies and interventions in daily instruction
