We are seeking an experienced mechanical technician to join our Reliability Services team. In this role you will perform on‑site evaluations at customer locations, advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and help drive continuous improvement. The position requires frequent travel between customer and work locations.

As a Reliability Services Technician, you will provide technical support and expertise to our team. Responsibilities include site visits, equipment evaluation, lubricant maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while modeling our Core Values.

- Conduct on‑site customer visits.
- Recommend preventive maintenance by identifying potential issues, removing worn pieces, and lubricating mechanical parts as authorized by the customer.
- Conduct inspections for preventative maintenance, monitoring lubricant levels, filter conditions, flow rates, pressures, ventilation, oil color, temperatures, vibration, unusual noises, odors, etc.
- Collaborate with the Reliability Services Manager to develop roles and responsibilities for continued growth and profitability.
- Mentor and train teammates, raising collective knowledge and abilities.
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
- Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
- Perform lube and fuel filtration as needed; assemble and dismantle pipe flanges, gaskets, hoses, etc.
- Ensure lubricants are compatible with the machine, process fluids, and work environment; perform common lubrication tasks.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, failure analysis, and problem solving of lubrication‑related equipment failures.
- Control contamination and dispose of waste oil.
- Collect, label, and ship oil samples and communicate with the oil analysis laboratory.
- Build and sustain positive, long‑lasting relationships with customers and prospects.
- Act as a strategic technical partner to the Reliability Services Sales Engineer and Manager in developing customer plans, recommendations, solutions, and quotes.
- Expedite resolution of customer problems and complaints using all resources.
- Provide verbal and written reports (CRM) on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Consistently act in accordance with and model our Core Values.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner at all times.
- Deliver quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with Wilcox + Flegel team members, customers, and suppliers.
