The Role

We are looking to fill our Production Manager role to manage our production team which includes trim, packaging, pre-roll departments as well as inventory, and fulfillment team. We are seeking a highly motivated, results oriented individual who is passionate about leading others behind a goal, maintaining accurate records of performance, and driving a culture where we put our employees first. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the entire production cycle from when an untrimmed flower enters the inventory to when it leaves the facility as a processed and packaged product including product processing, packaging, shipping and consistent management of product inventory, while following all required state and local laws.

This role requires consistent collaboration with other sales and grow teams to deliver best in class products.

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on support, leadership, and direction to motivate and lead 4 to 5 production supervisors and around 150 production team members
  • Ensure all safety, health, and cleanliness standards are met to keep the organization accident free
  • Set productivity goals for each production department
  • Actively monitor each department’s performance through department KPIs and individual KPIs to ensure the team is consistently working at peak efficiency
  • Lead by example and effectively support, coach, train, and discipline employees to meet Perfect Harvest KPIs including cycle time and quality expectations
  • Own production planning for multiple different product types and strains per cultivation strain pipeline & sales projections
  • Ensure inventory levels remain sufficient to fulfill orders in the pipeline and proactively communicate with the Sales on inventory levels
  • Develop workflow processes and procedures that improve efficiency through all areas of production operations
  • Proactively identify gaps and needs of different teams, and work with supervisors and managers to make sure gaps are avoided and goals are met (including labor needs, inventory gaps, and proper equipment and/or space is available for efficient work)
  • Define, build, implement, and manage adherence of associated company policies, SOPs, and expectations, facilitating training, tracking, and enforcement throughout all production departments
  • Ensure production operations uphold all standards and expectations through direct team engagement including staff meetings, walk‑throughs, audits, and monthly one on one meetings with department heads
  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations and cannabis laws (including inventory tagging and accuracy and 100% accurate order invoices and shipping manifests)
  • Develop production cost benchmarks per SKU with finance department to understand profit margins and maximize bottom line while building strong brands
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual production reviews accompanied by reports to Management covering KPIs and written plans for improvement, as applicable
  • Develop and execute new operation sustainability and growth directives
  • Monitor and assess the performance of yourself and others to make improvements or corrective action to increase work effectiveness and efficiency throughout
  • Perform employee formal reviews and assessments
  • Manage employee staffing including staffing quotas, schedules, role definition, hiring, firing, onboarding, and training
  • Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned by your supervisor/manager
