The Role
We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our production team as Machine Operators in our cannabis facility. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating and maintaining machinery used in the processing and packaging of cannabis products. If you are passionate about troubleshooting equipment, maintaining high-quality standards, and collaborating with a dedicated team to continuously improve production systems, this is the role for you.
Experience with manufacturing equipment and a desire to contribute to the growth of a rapidly expanding industry is a plus!
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:Operate and Monitor Equipment:
Safely operate machines and equipment used for the extraction, processing, and packaging of cannabis products.
Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks throughout the production process, ensuring products meet specifications and industry standards.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery, handling raw materials, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production counts, maintenance schedules, and quality checks.
Inventory Management:
Ensure that production materials are available for operations and help manage inventory levels to avoid disruptions.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, quality control staff, and maintenance teams, to ensure seamless production flow.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Regularly clean and sanitize machines and work areas according to company policies and industry hygiene standards.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and address machine malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to the production process.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine operation or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience operating industrial machines, preferably in a cannabis or regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on machinery.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Basic understanding of cannabis products and industry regulations (or willingness to learn).
Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity and sustained attention.
Must be able to work in and out of climate-controlled environments.
Additional RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or older to apply
Must be able to work overtime as needed, including short-notice requests in the evenings or on weekends.
Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a cannabis manufacturing facility or similar regulated industry.
Basic mechanical knowledge
Understanding of cannabis processing and packaging workflows.
This position is located in a cannabis production facility, and the candidate should be comfortable working in such an environment.
