Cannabis Cultivation / Harvest Technician
Viridian Staffing's client is looking for temporary cannabis cultivation/harvest technicians to assist at a licensed cannabis cultivation facility in the Longview, Washington, area. As a cannabis cultivation/harvest technician, you will assist with a variety of cultivation and harvest activities within an indoor cannabis cultivation environment. Responsibilities may include cutting, deleafing/defoliation, hanging, bucking, cleaning, handling plant material, and other general cultivation and harvest duties.
You should have a strong work ethic, be dependable and punctual, and be comfortable performing repetitive and physically demanding work throughout your shift. You should be able to follow instructions, maintain productivity and quality standards, and work effectively as part of a team. The essential functions of this position include: standing for up to 10 hours during a workday, working around and handling cannabis plant material for up to 10 hours during a workday, frequently lifting, carrying, moving, and positioning materials weighing up to 50 pounds, performing repetitive hand, arm, bending, reaching, and standing movements, cutting, deleafing/defoliating, hanging, bucking, and handling cannabis plant material, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area, following all safety procedures, facility policies, and applicable regulations, performing additional cultivation, harvest, and cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Previous hands-on experience in cannabis cultivation, harvest, agriculture, production, or a similar environment is preferred. Candidates with varying levels of cannabis experience are encouraged to apply. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, generally from approximately 6:30 AM–5:00 PM. Scheduling may include weekdays and weekends depending on production needs.
This position will initially begin as a 2-week temporary assignment, with the potential to extend for 2 months or longer based on business needs and performance. Pay rate range: $17.25–$18.00 per hour. Benefits: temporary employees accrue paid sick leave in accordance with Washington State law. Health benefits are available to eligible temporary employees for assignments lasting longer than one month.
