** Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Local Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington!
**** This is a local long-haul trucking position pulling a 53-foot trailer with garbage and other live loads, from the Transfer station and Mills up to Headquarters Road for disposal.
***** The schedule will be Monday – Friday 5:15am to 4:15 pm with Overtime often.
****** Starting Rate of pay is $28.00/hr.

* Duties and Responsibilities:

**
* ** Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate.**
* ** Ability to Operate and maneuver Tractor trailer hauling a 53’ Foot Trailer.**
* ** Ability to read route sheets or Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.**
* ** Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.**
* ** Minimum 1+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.**
* ** Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws**
* ** Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.**
* ** Ability to work a physically demanding job.**
* ** Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test**
* ** Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments**
* ** Clean driving record.
**** Working Conditions and Physical Effort:**
* ** Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.**
* ** Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.**
* ** The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
