This position requires strong leadership skills and a hands‑on approach to managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining compliance with safety protocols and project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Setup & Mobilization
    • Prepare the 3‑Week Schedule and the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) prior to project commencement.
    • Manage the setup of core site logistics, including site offices, temporary fencing, and storage.
    • Install all mandatory OSHA, Labor & Leave law signage, Kroll‑specific signage and safety gear.
    • Video or photograph existing site conditions for the Project Manager prior to commencement of work.
  • Daily Operations & Field Coordination
    • Prepare a detailed Daily Progress Report in Red Team.
    • Hold weekly coordination meetings with onsite subcontractors to align the 3‑week schedule, RFIs, and site staging.
    • Communicate and share schedule constraints early with the project team.
    • Maintain the As‑Built set by physically stapling all RFI answers, field revisions, and sketches to the drawings.
  • Safety & Quality Enforcement
    • Fill out a Daily Hazards Checklist every morning and meet with vendors to communicate risks.
    • When an unsafe condition is identified, issue formal safety warnings or violations as needed.
    • Lead subcontractor pre‑con meetings to ensure all workers sign off on the JHA and site safety plans.
    • Investigate accidents within one business day and document using the official Accident Investigation Form.
  • Project Closeout
    • Compile and send a Completion List to subcontractors as they approach substantial completion.
    • Lead the punch list walkthrough, taking detailed notes and photos to push subcontractors to final sign‑off.
    • Deliver a clean physical final turnover to the client.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field or experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Red Team, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • OSHA
30 certification and other relevant safety training is preferred.
  • PMP, CCM or CSM is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Proven experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Strong track record of maintaining compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
Kroll Konstruction Offers

  • Discretionary Recognition Pay:
Additional payroll compensation of up to 10% of base salary, awarded based on performance, company results, and business needs.
  • Voluntary Pet Insurance:
Providing employees with flexible plans to protect their pets and keep them happy and healthy.

  • Field personnel on construction project teams should expect 60‑hour workweeks, with a minimum of 5 days a week and 8 hours per day, including weekends. Travel home is typically every other week, but may shift to every third week depending on project needs. Superintendents may need to remain on‑site consistently during final project stages to support completion, closeout activities, and client needs, typically during the last month of a project.
