Forest Lake Education Center, the largest Adventist elementary school in the NAD, desires an experienced, visionary leader to help mold the future for academic excellence and Christian discipleship in a growing community. FLEC offers pre‑k through eighth grade and is located in Longwood, Florida, just 8 miles from downtown Orlando and very close to Forest Lake Academy. The school has an enrollment of over 670 students with 100 faculty and staff.
FLEC is actively pursuing certification through Marzano High Reliability Schools. They have completed Levels 1 & 2 certification and are pursuing Level 3 for the school year.
FLEC is seeking a principal for the upcoming school year (beginning July 2026) who is passionate about Adventist education and committed to excellence. The principal’s role involves coordinating with the administrative team, school board, six constituent churches, and the Florida Conference Office of Education to advance the school’s vision and mission.
The principal is responsible for fostering a well‑balanced environment that promotes spiritual and academic growth while providing opportunities for service, social development, and physical activity. They will also maintain and enhance FLEC’s Strategic Plan and Continuous Improvement Plans, working with the school’s team to support its growth as a High Reliability School. FLEC has already achieved certifications for Level 1:

Required ExperienceApplicant must be a tithe‑paying Seventh‑day Adventist church member in good standing and already have the legal right to work in the United States, providing evidence of such if employed
. North American Division (Denominational) Teacher Certification is required and must be maintained. Successful classroom experience is preferred. Must have a service‑oriented attitude, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with students and families of diverse backgrounds. Possessing competent technology skills using current educational software and hardware is essential. Additional traits should include organization, attention to detail, self‑directed, and motivated.
Absolute confidentiality is required. Curriculum familiarity, content knowledge, and proficiency in instructional delivery are crucial. Most importantly, the applicant must possess a love for God, a love for working with children, and a desire to see each child in Heaven.
