The Seminole County Recycling Education Internship is open to junior-level and above college students in Florida who are interested in environmental science, public works, engineering, sustainability, or communications. To be considered for this role, you should possess excellent customer service, communication, and Microsoft Office skills. You must be willing to get wet, dirty, muddy, and to work in all weather conditions.
Additionally, you must be able to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials (over 20 pounds). As an intern, you will gain experience in the field of solid waste, recycling education, environmental science and environmental engineering. This hands-on position offers exposure to both the technical and public-facing sides of solid waste management. You will assist in community engagement efforts, data management, field sampling, and other operational tasks at the landfill and transfer station.
This internship is offered in Longwood, FL.
