Finance Manager

As a pivotal strategic partner, you will own the financial integrity of the company—from high‑level cash flow management and contract negotiation to deep‑dive product/cost analysis and business case development. In this fast‑paced role, you will be the primary driver of our financial health, requiring a high degree of technical precision and manual execution:

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month‑end close, including the personal preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, and variance analysis of the financial statements.
• Lead the development of accounting reports and the optimization of the functionality of the company’s enterprise resource planning software, Sage X3.
• Conduct rigorous financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules required for internal and external reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.
• Oversee all inventory valuation, including the meticulous tracking and valuing of all materials, work in progress, and finished goods at month‑end.
• Manage the cycle count program and annual physical inventory count, including the critical review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory in accordance with company policy.
• Support the Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining appropriate credit limits based on risk and in accordance with company policy.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget.
• Implement necessary financial and IT controls to ensure a strong and compliant internal control environment.
• Perform other related ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as necessary to support this fast‑paced environment.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with the following credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Progress toward or completion of a CPA is required.
• Proven leadership skills in team management and people development.
• Ten plus years of relevant experience, including a heavy emphasis on strong cost accounting.
• Experience in accounting for the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Experience utilizing Sage X3 is a significant plus.
• Hands‑on experience and knowledge of all aspects of accounting, financial analysis, and planning, including forecasting, budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, cash flow analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and capital evaluation.
• Expert analytical and Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret high volumes of data.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels.
• Highly responsive to requests, with a high attention for detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Must be self‑motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be flexible and able to multi‑task in a time‑sensitive, high‑pressure environment.
