Aboutthe role
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with RESNET programs, multifamily energy projects, green certifications, and is comfortable leading teams as well as programs. This role is equal parts technical expertise, people development, and client‑facing partner. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day performance, program compliance, team leadership, client engagement, and continuous improvement of systems, SOPs, and service offerings.
Prior management experience and existing knowledge of energy certification programs such as NGBS, FGBC, LEED, RESNET, and others will be critical to the success of this role.
Responsibilities Program & Technical Leadership- Own and manage RESNET updates, changes, and compliance requirements, ensuring internal processes stay current
- Lead multifamily energy program and project management, including coordination across builders, developers, and internal teams
- Oversee special energy and green programs (Energy Star, FGBC, NGBS, utility programs, local initiatives, etc.)
- Manage third‑party provider program relationships and ongoing compliance requirements
- Directly manage the teams and managers responsible for green energy registrations, field activities, and supporting department staff
- Set clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability standards
- Implement and oversee training curriculums to ensure continuous improvement and high performance
- Drive professional development while ensuring production and quality targets are met
- Serve as a senior point of contact for key energy clients
- Lead quarterly client reviews, regular business check‑ins, and issue resolution
- Support client sales efforts by providing technical guidance, scope input, and program knowledge
- Oversee new customer onboarding, ensuring smooth handoffs and clear expectations
- Lead a full department SOP overhaul, including:
- Creation, refinement, and documentation of standardized processes
- Clear ownership and accountability across workflows
- Oversee field forms, inspection software, and internal tools, driving improvements and efficiencies
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks and then design and implement solutions
- 5+ years of experience in residential, multifamily, and commercial energy ratings, green building certification, or building performance
- Direct experience with RESNET programs and HERS‑related processes
- Strong working knowledge of green certification programs (Energy Star, LEED, NGBS, FGBC, RESNET, and multifamily certification programs)
- Prior management experience
- Comfortable interfacing with clients, builders, developers, and internal leadership
- Proven ability to create, document, and enforce SOPs and operational processes
- Excellent communication and client‑relationship skills
