Systems Engineer, Operations Management
The Site Engineering Lead is the operational backbone of our production site. In this high-impact technical leadership role, you will lead the site’s technical execution, oversee daily workflows, and ensure operation excellence in capacitor design and manufacturing.
While overarching product architecture and design authority are held at the global/corporate level, you will own the site-level execution blueprint. Serving as a senior individual contributor, you will be the primary driver of technical performance, resource allocation, and continuous improvement, acting as the critical link between corporate strategy and site reality.
Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Technical Operations- Daily Operations: Direct and oversee daily technical workflows at the production site to ensure strict adherence to project timelines, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- System Reliability: Monitor site performance metrics, proactively identifying bottlenecks and implementing immediate technical solutions to minimize downtime.
- Incident Management: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for site-level crises, organizing rapid response troubleshooting without disrupting core product integrity.
- Resource Allocation: Manage tooling, infrastructure, and technical assets specific to the site to optimize overall team efficiency and execution.
- Workflow Coordination: Guide daily operational priorities for the site's engineering and technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and safety.
- Skill & Process Alignment: Identify technical gaps in site execution and implement training, documentation, or standard operating procedures (SOPs) to upskill the team on site-specific machinery, codebases, or processes.
- Site Onboarding: Lead technical onboarding and mentoring for new engineering staff to ensure quick integration into site workflows.
- Design Alignment: Partner closely with the Design Authority / Product Architecture team to ensure all site-level execution perfectly aligns with global product specifications.
- Feedback Loop: Provide structured, data-driven feedback from the production floor back to the design team to influence future product iterations.
- Operational Reporting: Translate complex technical site data into clear, actionable reports for executive leadership.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a technical engineering environment (software infrastructure, manufacturing, or hardware production).
- Technical Leadership: Proven track record of guiding technical workflows, leading site initiatives, or mentoring technical team members in an individual contributor capacity.
- Execution Focus: Demonstrated expertise in operational execution, project management, and site delivery metrics.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make high-stakes technical decisions under production-floor pressure.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to act as an effective bridge between corporate design teams and site technicians.
- First 30 Days: Build deep trust with the local technical team, map out current site workflows, and establish a seamless communication cadence with the Design Authority.
- First 90 Days: Optimize the site's daily operational metrics, resolve key delivery bottlenecks, and take full ownership of site-level execution reliability.
- Beyond: Run a highly autonomous, efficient, and safe technical site that executes corporate designs flawlessly and on schedule.
