Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Security Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the installation of security systems, with an emphasis on tasks like pulling wire and wiring up devices in medium and large multi‑home buildings.
Responsibilities- Assist in the installation of security and low‑voltage systems, including pulling wire and wiring up devices such as Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Systems.
- Industry experience working with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems.
- Work with systems such as Door King access, Hikvision, Hanawa Cameras, Keyscan access.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, ensuring proper connections and compliance with safety standards.
- Carry and move equipment and tools required for installation.
- Prepare installation sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and other necessary equipment.
- Work closely with senior technicians and other trades on‑site to ensure smooth project execution.
- Complete all required paperwork related to the installation process, such as timesheets and job status reports.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge in security systems installation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Reliable attendance is required.
- Basic communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, including climbing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights up to 60 feet, and navigating ductwork, crawl spaces, and ceilings.
- Capable of carrying and moving heavy equipment and tools as needed.
