About the Role
Reliable Basement and Drain is looking for an experienced Mechanic to service vehicles, equipment, and general shop tasks.

- Monday to Friday shop hours typically 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- Follow and complete checklists to ensure a thorough examination of all parts and systems for all vehicles and equipment documenting safety issues and necessary repair items.
- Evaluate for cost‑effective and necessary repairs.
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Evaluate safety and appearance, and perform general maintenance as required.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs such as spark plugs, worn parts, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors, thoroughly and accurately, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels.
- Conduct test drive before and after repairs to ensure successful resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify vehicles requiring external repairs and manage the delivery and pickup process with outside repair shops.
- Manage the inventory of shop supplies to ensure availability for repairs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and working well with other team members.
- Effective and precise communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving mechanical skills.
- Organizational awareness and the ability to navigate the company structure to solve problems and achieve goals.
- Strong teamwork skills, promoting cooperation and commitment within the team.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of mechanical hands‑on experience.
- High school Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- A valid state driver’s license, with limited moving violations.
- Proficient computer skills.
