Engineering Construction Manager – Data Center Projects

Vertiv seeks a highly experienced Engineering Construction Manager to oversee the execution of medium‑scale data center infrastructure projects across the United States. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication and a deep understanding of mission‑critical infrastructure.

• Project Oversight:
  Manage all phases of projects from site preparation through commissioning for medium‑scale data center projects, primarily for High Density Liquid Cooling equipment.
• Vendor Management:
  Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors and third‑party vendors to ensure compliance with scope, schedule and quality standards.
• Schedule Management:
  Monitor construction schedules, provide regular updates to stakeholders and take corrective action when needed.
• Quality Assurance:
  Ensure all construction work complies with company standards, client requirements and applicable codes and regulations.
• Risk Mitigation:
  Identify and manage potential risks, safety issues and design conflicts; implement mitigation strategies promptly.
• Client Interaction:
  Act as the primary point of contact for clients during construction, fostering a professional relationship through clear communication.
• Documentation:
  Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, punch lists, daily reports and project closeout materials.
• Commissioning Support:
  Work with commissioning agents and Vertiv engineering teams to ensure systems are fully tested and operational before handover.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years focused on mission‑critical or data center projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and civil/structural construction.
• Proven ability to manage medium‑scale construction projects with values exceeding $5 M.
• Excellent knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, CX Alloy, Primavera and MS Project.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the U.S. and remain on site for extended periods.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check.

• PMP, CCM or equivalent construction/project management certification.
• Experience with High Density Liquid Cooling in data center environments.
• Experience with prefabrication, modular builds or fast‑track construction methodologies.
• Previous experience working for or with Vertiv or similar data center infrastructure providers.
