Work Days / Work Hours / Days per Year
Monday - Friday; 6.75 hours/day; 189 days per year (# of workdays for new-hires are pro-rated to date-of-hire)
Union / ClassificationOAPSE 120 / Special Education Paraprofessionals
Reports toBuilding Administrator(s) and/or Executive Director for the Office of Exceptional Children or designee
Hourly Rate$18.00 per hour (2025/26 school year pay rate)
Required Certification(s)- must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under the provisions of ESSA and ORC by evidencing one of the following requirements:
- Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
- two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
- passing score of 456 or higher on the Para Pro Assessment (copy of Para Pro Assessment results).
- AND must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
